With extensive experience and a technology back ground in surveillance systems of many types, civil, military and Para-military, Digital Grape has been well placed to support government and industry initiatives to improve standards and capabilities of both CCTV and Video Analytics systems for use in intelligent transport systems (ITS).
In the transport industry we have lead the development of technical standards for users of CCTV systems in many applications areas. Support for APTA, in the US, has enabled a new CCTV technical standard to be initiated for use by all of the 4000 transit operators in the US who participate with APTA standards as well as the US Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice the FBI Video analysis centre at Quantico, ASIS and the SIA.
In Europe we have been involved with the UK Home Office, the association of Train Operating companies as well as various CCTV user groups and agencies throughout the Transport, Highways and Commercial areas of CCTV users.
Currently we are working with the CCTV users and the system integrator/vendor community to lead the creation of a technical Video Analytics standard that can be used by the security and surveillance community world wide to plan, procure and operate ‘reliable and dependable’ Video analytics capabilities.
An additional service being offered is the verification of performance of CCTV systems to the new CCTV standard now being adopted by transit and ITS project designers. With an intimate knowledge of the requirements of this standard Digital Grape Business Services have developed a testing regime know as ‘Surveillance Testing Services’ for both new and existing CCTV systems to verify the capabilities and areas of potential improvement.
